Identification of Dyslexia through the FIE Process
The Luke Waites Center for Dyslexia and Learning Disorders at Scottish Rite for Children is offering a virtual seminar for assessment professionals with graduate-level training and certification in test administration and interpretation, including Educational Diagnosticians, Licensed Specialists in School Psychology, and Speech-Language Pathology. The seminar will address identification through the full and individual evaluation process.
Event Speakers: Stephanie Forbis, M.A., LPC; Brittany Benson, Ed.S, LPA, LSSP, NCSP
This seminar will highlight:
- Assessment data gathering that would suggest need to consider dyslexia
- Test instruments and the decision-making process to more specifically evaluate the core features of dyslexia within the context of the FIE
- Case studies will be presented.
- This seminar will not cover information regarding second language/bilingual assessment and identification.
This virtual seminar will conclude at 12:00 p.m. noon, with Q&A to follow.
